Description
Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge at Sunrise: This wildlife refuge is home to many birds, including Laysan albatross, red-footed boobies, brown boobies, red-tailed and white-tailed tropicbirds, great frigatebirds, the endangered nene geese (the State bird), and wedge-tailed shearwaters. It also has many native Hawaiian coastal plants. At various times of the year, visitors can spot spinner dolphins, humpback whales, Hawaiian monk seals, and green sea turtles in the ocean. Located on the north shore of the island of Kauai, this is a must-see when you visit the Garden Island.
