Pfeiffer Beach is a unique spot, with its purple sand and huge rocks containing holes. During this time of year one of them, Keyhole Rock, makes a perfect frame for the setting sun. On that evening I was able to get a "front row spot" for the setting sun and captured this stunning image ... and you can see the purple sand!
About John Hight
My passion is photography, and I love capturing the beauty of our world. This enthusiasm began when I took a college course in photography. After graduation, my career in engineering limited the time I could set aside for photography ... mostly weekends and vacations. Since my retirement from Intel Corporation in 2011, I have re-energized my devotion and taken up my career as an artist/photographer traveling to beautiful locations and capturing that magnificence with my camera.
