Description
A deep natural lake formed 7,700 years ago by a massive eruption of Mount Mazama, Crater Lake is the deepest lake in the United States at 1,943 feet. In the still of the morning the lake surface becomes a near perfect mirror: reflecting the sky, with the high rim walls creating a picture perfect scene. This moment is why I traveled to Crater Lake National Park .... to capture this instant of supreme beauty. An image cannot replace the exhilarating experience of standing on the rim and seeing the sunrise unfold and fill the crater with light; but I hope that I captured something you can step into mentally and enjoy the beauty.
