Catching the first light of the rising sun, Mount Whitney takes on a reddish hue much like the clouds at sunrise ... making it stand out against the blue sky. This beautiful sight can only be seen in the Lone Pine, California area because the surrounding mountains hide Mt. Whitney both north and south of Lone Pine. The blanket of snow, on an early spring morning, was provided by two days of rain and snow in the area.
My passion is photography, and I love capturing the beauty of our world. This enthusiasm began when I took a college course in photography. After graduation, my career in engineering limited the time I could set aside for photography ... mostly weekends and vacations. Since my retirement from Intel Corporation in 2011, I have re-energized my devotion and taken up my career as an artist/photographer traveling to beautiful locations and capturing that magnificence with my camera. I hope you enjoy my gallery and will want to take an image of this beautiful land into your home.
